Colleen Maley Rothman is a writer from south Louisiana.
Her short fiction has appeared in Quarterly West, Maudlin House, and Ecotone, among others, and was longlisted for the Jesmyn Ward Prize in Fiction. Her essays and criticism have been published in The Atlantic, Literary Hub, The Adroit Journal, and elsewhere. An alumna of Carleton College and Northwestern University’s Medill School, she’s studied creative writing at the Tin House Summer Workshop, Kenyon Review Writers Workshop, and Sewanee Writers’ Conference, which she attended in 2023 as a Tennessee Williams Scholar. Colleen is the founding editor of Nurture: A Literary Journal and an associate series editor for the Wigleaf Top 50. After spending many years in the Midwest, Colleen now lives in New Orleans.
